Let’s have a little fun before the weekend starts. This article I am going to give you a simple but fun recipe I learnt about in Saskatchewan, Taco-in-a-Bag!
Great uses for this recipe!
Fundraisers (low cost & big batch so you can get more from the fundraiser!)
Camping
Sports events
Tailgate parties
420 friendly
parties of any type
quick supper
Because you want to eat a taco!
What do you need?
Small bags of your favorite flavor Doritos chips
Ground Beef
Shredded cheese
Lettuce
Tomatoes
cilantro/chives
Sour Cream
Other fixings/spices to your preference
How do you do it?
Open the Doritos bag then close it and lightly crush the chips (alternatively you can make a small incision length wise and lightly crush the chips followed by completely opening the bag length wise).Put the bags of chips aside for now
Cook ground beef by frying it and breaking it up into small chunks, the smaller the better for this recipe. Season as you would like but ensure that it is fully cooked. Leave simmering to ensure it stays hot.
While the ground beef is cooking prepare the lettuce by chopping it into small pieces, do the same with tomatoes. If you have other fixings such as chives or white onion prepare them as well.
Scoop ground beef into the bag until it fill about 1/4 or to your preference depending on what you’ll be putting inside with it. WARNING: It will be hot, watch your fingers and palm holding the bag.
Top the meat off with some shredded cheese
Add fixings as desired including cilantro to taste
Top with a dollop of Sour Cream and sprinkle on some chives
Get a Fork and enjoy!
(Optional step) Fill a little less then close the bag and give it a good shake to mix it all up.
Let me know how it tastes in the Comment section! Have a great weekend everyone.
